About the rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty reshapes the nose to bring it into balance with the rest of your face — refining a bump, narrowing a tip, or correcting breathing along the way. Dr. Marchetti approaches every nose as part of a whole, planning the result against your brow, lips, and profile rather than to a single ideal.

The goal at Aurelius is a nose that looks like it was always yours: no scooped-out bridge, no pinched tip, no telltale surgical signature. We would rather do slightly less and have you return for a refinement than overcorrect a feature you can never get back.

The bridge, tip, or width of your nose is out of balance with your face
You have a functional concern — a deviated septum or difficulty breathing
Your facial growth is complete (typically 16+)
You are in good general health and a non-smoker, or willing to pause

How the rhinoplasty procedure works.

Plan

We photograph and, when helpful, digitally preview the profile so you can see the proposed change before anything is decided.

Procedure

Most rhinoplasties are performed through a closed approach or a small columellar incision, reshaping cartilage and bone under general anesthesia.

Splint

A lightweight splint supports the new shape for about a week and comes off in the office at your first visit.

Recovery

An honest, week-by-week timeline.

You'll look great to everyone else weeks before you look final to yourself. Every patient leaves their pre-op visit with a written version of this plan.

Days 1–7

Splint on, swelling and bruising around the eyes peak then fade. Rest with your head elevated.

Week 2

Splint removed, most bruising gone. Many patients return to work and light routine.

Weeks 3–6

Residual swelling settles; you look refreshed to everyone but yourself.

Months 3–12

The tip continues to refine as the last swelling resolves and the final shape emerges.

Not if we do our job. The aim is proportion, not a new nose — most people around you will simply think you look rested.

How do I find out if this is right for me?

The only way to know is a consultation. Your surgeon will examine you, review your history and goals, and tell you honestly whether the procedure fits — and when it doesn't. There is no pressure to book.
