Overview

About the breast lift

A breast lift (mastopexy) raises and reshapes breasts that have lost position with time, pregnancy, or weight change — repositioning the nipple and tightening the tissue for a higher, firmer contour. It can be done alone or combined with an implant when volume is also a goal.

Incision patterns are matched to how much lift you need, always chosen to trade the least visible scar for the most natural shape.

Is it for you?

You may be a good candidate if…

The only way to know for certain is an examination — but these are the signs we look for.

  • Breasts sit lower than you'd like, or the nipple points downward
  • You want a firmer shape without necessarily going larger
  • Your family planning is complete or paused

What's involved

How the breast procedure works.

01
Pattern

We select the smallest incision pattern that achieves the lift your tissue needs.

02
Reshape

Tissue is tightened and elevated, and the areola is refined to natural proportion.

03
Settle

A support bra holds the new shape while healing progresses.

Recovery

An honest, week-by-week timeline.

You'll look great to everyone else weeks before you look final to yourself. Every patient leaves their pre-op visit with a written version of this plan.

Week 1

Soreness and swelling; rest with limited arm motion.

Week 2

Back to light routine; sutures dissolve or are removed.

Weeks 4–6

Return to full activity; shape continues to settle.

FAQ

Breast Lift — common questions.

Will I have visible scars?
Every lift leaves some scar, but they are placed to hide in natural contours and fade substantially over the first year.
How do I find out if this is right for me?
The only way to know is a consultation. Your surgeon will examine you, review your history and goals, and tell you honestly whether the procedure fits — and when it doesn't. There is no pressure to book.
