Facelift & Neck Lift
Turning back the clock without turning off the person.
Overview
About Facelift & Neck Lift
A modern facelift repositions the deeper tissues of the face and neck — not just the skin — to restore the jawline and smooth the neck while leaving your expression entirely your own. Done well, it reads as a decade recovered, never as tightness.
Dr. Marchetti tailors the depth of the lift to your anatomy and often pairs it with a neck lift or eyelid surgery so the whole face ages back together rather than in pieces.
Is it for you?
You may be a good candidate if…
The only way to know for certain is an examination — but these are the signs we look for.
- Jowls, mid-face descent, or a loose neck that skincare no longer addresses
- Good skin quality and realistic, natural-looking goals
- Generally good health and a non-smoker
- Ready for a two-to-three-week social reset
What's involved
How the facelift procedure works.
Incisions are planned within the hairline and natural creases around the ear so they settle nearly invisibly.
The SMAS layer beneath the skin is repositioned to restore the jawline; excess skin is redraped, never pulled.
A soft dressing supports the result overnight; sutures come out in stages over the first two weeks.
Recovery
An honest, week-by-week timeline.
You'll look great to everyone else weeks before you look final to yourself. Every patient leaves their pre-op visit with a written version of this plan.
Bruising and swelling peak. Dressings and early sutures are removed in the office.
Remaining sutures out; makeup can cover residual bruising for most.
Comfortable in public and back to most activity; swelling continues to settle.
Incisions fade and the result softens into a natural, rested look.
